Donation & Giveback Program Disclosure

Paws & Promise Coffee's giveback program supports animal rescue and organizations creating meaningful employment opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. This page explains which partner organizations receive contributions, how the giveback is calculated, and when contributions are made.
What the giveback supports
5% supports local animal rescue and shelter care, including Forever Paws Animal Shelter, Inc. in Fall River, Massachusetts. Forever Paws is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 04-3280557).
5% supports organizations creating meaningful employment opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. The recipient is Sweet Inspirations, a nonprofit candy and gift shop and supported-employment site at 19 Central Street, Milford, Massachusetts, operated by the Aaron Zenus Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 84-1954443).
Both organizations are independent of Paws & Promise Coffee. They do not operate this website, do not sell or endorse our products, and are not responsible for our orders or customer service. We are a supporter of their work, not a program of either organization.
How the amount is calculated
Paws & Promise Coffee gives back 10% of the final completed order total actually paid by the customer: 5% supports animal rescue and 5% supports organizations creating employment opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities.
For example, if your final completed order total actually paid at checkout is $45.00, exactly $4.50 is contributed to our partner causes.
Product pages, advertisements and social posts may describe this program in shorthand, for example "10% of the final completed order total actually paid by the customer is given back." Those statements refer to the calculation described on this page.
When the giveback is contributed
The giveback is calculated on completed order totals and contributed quarterly to the two partner organizations named above: Forever Paws Animal Shelter and Sweet Inspirations.
Refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks are reconciled in subsequent giveback periods. An order that is not ultimately completed does not permanently generate a giveback.
Important tax note
Your purchase is a retail purchase from Paws & Promise Coffee, not a charitable contribution. Purchases are not tax-deductible for you. The donations are made by Paws & Promise Coffee. If you would like to make your own tax-deductible gift, please donate directly to a charitable organization of your choice.
Changes to the program
We may add, replace or change beneficiary organizations or the donation percentage in the future. Any change will be posted on this page with a new effective date and will apply only to orders placed after that date.
