Donation & Giveback Program Disclosure

Paws & Promise Coffee donates an amount equal to 10% of eligible net sales from every order placed on pawsandpromisecoffee.com to two Massachusetts nonprofit organizations. This page explains exactly who receives the money, how the amount is calculated, and when it is paid, so that you can see what your purchase supports.

Both organizations are independent of Paws & Promise Coffee. They do not operate this website, do not sell or endorse our products, and are not responsible for our orders or customer service. We are a supporter of their work, not a program of either organization.
How the amount is calculated
"Eligible net sales" means the product revenue we actually receive for an order, excluding sales tax, shipping charges, discounts and promotional credits, cancelled or refunded orders, chargebacks, and any other amounts we do not retain. The 10% is calculated on that figure and split equally: 5% to Forever Paws Animal Shelter and 5% to the Aaron Zenus Foundation. Example: on a $20.00 bag of coffee with no discount, $2.00 is set aside, $1.00 for each organization.
Product pages, advertisements and social posts may describe this program in shorthand, for example "10% of every order helps rescue dogs." Those statements refer to the program described on this page.
When donations are paid
Donations are made by Paws & Promise Coffee from our own revenue; nothing is added to your order or collected from you separately. We total eligible net sales at the end of each calendar quarter and remit the donations to both organizations within 30 days after the quarter ends. We keep records of each payment and will publish a summary of the total amount donated each year on this page.
Important tax note
Your purchase is a retail purchase from Paws & Promise Coffee, not a charitable contribution. Purchases are not tax-deductible for you. The donations are made by Paws & Promise Coffee. If you would like to make your own tax-deductible gift, please donate directly to the organizations through the links above.
Changes to the program
We may add, replace or change beneficiary organizations or the donation percentage in the future. Any change will be posted on this page with a new effective date and will apply only to orders placed after that date.
